Go to Dashboard → Media to access your media library.
The top of the page shows three stats: total files, storage used, and image count.
Use the toolbar to switch between Grid and List view. Your preference is saved.
Sort by: Newest, Oldest, Largest, Smallest, Name A→Z, Name Z→A.
Change items per page: 24, 48, or 96. Also saved.
Search by filename or alt text — results update as you type.
Hover over any image to reveal four icons:
Click the pencil icon to open the edit modal. From there you can:
Click the Info icon (or "Where is this used?") to see exactly where an image appears: which posts use it (with Published or Draft badge), and which blog settings reference it (logo, cover, OG image).
If the image is not used anywhere, you'll see: "This image is not used anywhere. You can safely delete it."
Click any image to select it — a checkbox appears. Select multiple images, and a floating bar appears at the bottom: Delete X items. Confirm to remove them all at once.
To delete a single image, click the trash icon in the hover overlay.
In the editor, type /image or open the slash menu. Three options appear:
Drag and drop a file or click to browse. Add alt text, then press Upload & Insert.
Search by name, adjust items per page, and click an image to select it. Press Insert to add it to your post.
Paste any image URL. Add alt text. A preview is shown before inserting.
Hover over an image in the editor — a small toolbar appears above it.
Width options: Original, S (400px), M (800px), L (1200px).
The current image width is displayed so you know what size makes sense. Options that would enlarge the image beyond its original dimensions are greyed out — images are never upscaled.
The Delete button is also in this toolbar.
Alt text appears below every image in the editor. Click the pencil icon to edit it at any time.
You can also set alt text at upload time, or later from the media library.
Alt text matters for SEO and for readers using screen readers.
